As Old as the Great Pyramid: Divers Find the World’s Oldest Known Shipwreck off Turkey
Off Kekova Island in Antalya, archaeologists have found the cargo of a small trade ship that sank 4,400 to 4,700 years ago, making it the oldest shipwreck known anywhere. Some of its clay jars still hold a mysterious residue.
